Bishop’s Committee/Vestry

Linda MyersLinda Myers (2010-2012) is our Bishop’s Warden. She also serves on our Healing Prayer Team, and she is a member of the Interpretive Dance Ministry that frequently contributes to our worship services. Owen BakerOwen Barker (2010-2012) is currently serving for the third time on our Bishop’s Committee, and he is our Junior Warden responsible for building and grounds. He is also the College Missioner for Operations for the Canterbury Program at the University of Houston (the Canterbury Program is the Episcopal Church’s ministry to college students). He is the Co-Leader of our Prayer Team and has been a member and friend of Church of the Redeemer since 1965. He may be reached by email at okbarker@earthlink.net.
Peggy FergusPeggy Fergus (2011-2013): Besides serving on the Bishop’s Committee/Vestry, Peggy is the head of our altar guild and is one of the leaders of the LaROCA program that serves the children and adolescents of our neighborhood.
Gil MichelettiGil Micheletti (2011-2013): Gil also serves as the head of our Pastoral Care Committee, and he and his wife Mary sing in the Redeemer Choir. Gil works as an M.D. in the Houston area. He is a dermatologist.
Ralph NealRalph Neal (2012-2015) is a retired geophysicist from Hunt Oil Company. He has been a member of our parish since 1964. He has served on the vestry before and was Senior Warden in 1973. Currently he also serves on the Pastoral Care Committee, the Prayer Team, leads a house church with his wife, Sue, and as a Licensed Eucharistic Visitor (LEV) brings communion to people who are unable to attend services.
Keever WallaceKeever Wallace (2012-2015) has sung and played guitar in our choir for many years. He completed the FinD course in spiritual direction and was commissioned as a spiritual director in 2011. He is very interested in theophostic prayer, and is one of the leaders of the Redeemer Friday Night Service. He is a clinical orthotist (he designs, fabricates, and fits braces and other orthopedic appliances).
Nancy TaylorSecretary-Nancy Taylor is the secretary for the Bishop’s Committee/Vestry. She records the minutes of each of the meetings. She’s also the volunteer secretary for the parish, prints the bulletin for each Sunday, serves on the Redeemer Movie Seminar committee, and frequently prepares and serves the hospitality snacks after our Sunday service. Dick BirdTreasurer-Our congregation’s treasurer is Richard “Dick” Bird. Dick has faithfully served God and the people of our parish for many years, as our treasurer and in many other roles. Dick and his wife Ivis are worship leaders, lead one of our house churches, and often bring communion to those who cannot attend services. You may contact Dick through email at rbird1120@aol.com.
